Each year the student is introduced to new elements of ballet technique building solid ballet knowledge This is a methodical progression with emphasis on correct posture, alignment and articulation. New ballet steps are introduced and taught according to the strength and level of the dancer. Development of strength and building a solid core is of utmost importance at these levels. Stretching and flexibility are stressed with correct breathing and release technique. Pointe work for girls begins at Intermediate 2.
