Amanda grew up in Eugene, Oregon and studied at the Eugene Ballet Academy under the instruction of Sara Lombardi, Florabelle Moses and Susan Zadoff. She has been awarded scholarships to study at the Joffrey Ballet NY, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet Austin, Portland Festival Ballet and CRAFT of Choreography Conference summer intensives. She danced professionally with Eugene Ballet Company (EBC) for two seasons from 2008-2010 as an apprentice. With EBC, Amanda toured throughout the Pacific Northwest and in Anchorage, Alaska. She then joined Ballet Fantastique’s Chamber Company 2010-2011.
Amanda taught ballet classes at Eugene Ballet Academy and had the responsibility of running rehearsals for the advanced level for the Nutcracker. She then taught Vagonava technique classes at Ballet Fantastique’s academy to both elementary levels and adult classes. Amanda has experience choreographing and dancing classical and contemporary ballet, jazz, tap, and danced professionally with a salsa dance group named the ‘Salseros’. She is now teaching Pre-Ballet and Elementary ballet levels at Portland Festival Ballet.
