Instructor Elise Ericksen has been teaching ballet to children for over 10 years. She received her B.A. in Dance in 2004 from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. She has developed a program
for Creative Dance for young children that focuses on spatial awareness, movement qualities, body awareness and creative thinking.
Also, she has developed a three level Pre-Ballet system where children learn classroom etiquette, basic stationary and traveling movements as well as classical ballet vocabulary. Pre-Ballet dancers have the option to audition for the annual Nutcracker production and perform in the Spring Concert.
